Training classes are a requirement. I look forward to learning lots with my new family when I get adopted!
Good with Children?
Yes, but I would do best with older children (5+ and up). I tend to jump up on people and can be mouthy.

My Story

Hi, I'm Bluebelle! I came from Alabama (with a banjo on my knee) and ended up at the Dane County Humane Society. They, in turn, called the folks at Green Acres Boxer Rescue. I've been in my foster home for a few weeks now. There are two other Boxers here and we just play and play. I am very energetic so I need a way to burn off some of that energy - either through playing with other dogs or long walks (or, ideally, both!) I am very food-motivated, which makes obedience training a little easier (and more fun). My foster family is working with me on housebreaking. I need to be watched closely and let outside frequently. Otherwise, I might get so busy having fun that I forget to schedule a potty break outside. There is a kid (age 12) in my foster home and I love to play with her. However, I might not be a good match for young children because I tend to jump up and can be mouthy when playing. My foster family is working with me on this. I wanted to let you know that I do have a mild heart murmur, which doesn't need treatment and doesn't affect my life in any way. I also have a couple of teeth that may need attention someday, but the veterinarian says they are fine for now.  If you're looking for a young, playful, and excessively cute companion, I just might be the girl for you!
