My Story

Hi!  My name is Millie (aka) Mildred/Molly to all my admirers.  I came into rescue very skinny and with several medical problems.  I have been in rescue for about a year now trying to get these issues under control.  I was diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI), and severe food allergies.  My body does not absorb food/nutrients normally so I have a hard time gaining weight.  I also had a hairball removed from my intestines, which was the size of an egg and very hard.  The vet said it was in there for a long time because it was calcified.  This may have contributed to why I was so sick.

My illness does not deter me from having a good time though!  I love, love, love to play, play, play.  My favorite toys are tennis balls but I can play a mean tug-o-war with my foster brother!  I am very silly and love to have fun, go for rides, walks, or just wrestle with my foster dad.

I would do best in a home that someone is home a lot, as I need to be fed 4-5 times a day.  I am on a very restricted diet that consists of special food, enzymes, and supplements.  My care does require financial consideration.  There is about an estimate of $160-$180 of monthly costs, for special food, pancreatic enzymes, and pro/prebiotics.  I know my special skills at snuggling and lap warming will make up for that.

I have been doing well since my foster mom found my new yummy food.  I sometimes get an upset tummy, but I bounce back pretty quick.  I love to chase things, so a home without any cats, is best.  I am a sweet loving girl with a lot of love to give.  Do you think you can give me my new home?
