[GABR would like to thank Dr. Amanda Dyal at Parkside Animal Care Center for helping with the cost of Tanner's medication!]
AGE: Nine years young
MY STORY: Hi, I'm Tanner! My foster mom sometimes calls me Suntanner because I like to lay outside when it's warm out. I was surrendered to a shelter because of financial hardship. The rescue sprang me from the shelter and I'm happy to be hanging out in a foster home. One of the biggest challenges was figuring out a little medical mystery that I presented. Apparently I have something called diabetes insipidus. Feel free to Google it if you've got time on your hands. I am on medication for this condition. The medication is actually a drop that goes in my eye (crazy, right?) I sometimes get a little leaky when I'm sleeping soundly, but other than that, I'm in good shape physically. I'm quite active - my foster mom says she can't believe I'm nine. I love to play tug-of-war and a good game of chase, too. I know all sorts of commands and tricks, like "roll over" and "speak." I'm very talented!
