The Scoop

WHAT:  The 10th annual Boxer Bash! WHEN: Saturday, September 18th 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. WHERE: Fireman's Park 1049 Park Ave Columbus, WI 53925-1634 WHO: All dog lovers are invited! Friendly dogs (of all breeds) are welcome. HOW MUCH: $5.00 a person or $10 a family. All proceeds benefit dogs in need!

Please note the change of location. The Bash will be held in the pavillion and on the surrounding grounds.  We are very excited about the big, roomy building and the surrounding land that will work perfectly for the lure course and radar run!

Goodie bags - free to the first 100 people to check in!

CGC testing held all day!  Dodge County Canine will have two evaluators on hand to test your pooch (fee is $10 per dog). Please contact Kim at kim@greenacresboxerrescue.com to sign up for testing.

Also don't miss the fun and games for kids! 

10:00 a.m.	Bash kick-off!  The silent auction opens for bids!
10:30 a.m.	Meet the Boxers! Meet some of the adorable Boxers available for adoption.
11:00 a.m.	Speaker: Dr. Carla Christman will discuss health issues that are common to Boxers.  Followed by a Q&A session.
12:00 p.m.	Presentation of Special Adopter Awards
12:30 p.m.	Contest: Best Kiss
1:00 p.m.	Speaker: Renee Ward will discuss trainining issues and offer solutions.
2:00 p.m.	Raffle drawing
2:15 p.m.	Contest: Best Trick
2:45 p.m.	Silent auction bidding closes
3:00 p.m.	Another Bash draws to a close.  See you next year!

Coming to the Bash? Great! We can't wait to see you! A few things to keep in mind:

• Friendly dogs of all breeds are welcome
• Dogs must be on a standard leash - no flexi-leads, please
• No girlies in heat, please
• If you have a puppy, we strongly recommend that you leave your puppy at home until he has finished his vaccination schedule (usually around 16 weeks). 
• Breeders are welcome to attend, but we ask that you not advertise. Let's keep the spotlight on the homeless adult dogs who need homes.
